| The process of
entering a normal 12G shotgun in Cyprus is fairly simple.
Upon arrival
at Larnaca or Paphos airports, participants must pass through Customs (Red
Channel) and declare their guns. No Custom formalities will be
required for European Union nationals, who are in possession of a European
Firearms Certificate. For non EU nationals, Customs will issue on
the spot, a temporary gun import permit, which will be valid for a period of one
month.
For avoiding delay at the airport, national teams or groups
of shooters from non European Union countries, arriving and departing on the
same flight, should present to customs a completed shotgun declaration form
in triplicate, in order to obtain a group gun
import
permit.
Very
important: The gun import permits must be represented to customs at the time of
departure before check-in.
IMPORTANT for
all shooters (EU or non EU members):
The import of 12G Auto or Semi-Auto shotguns requires import authorisation
prior to arrival. Shooters, who intend to bring such firearms for
exclusive use in training camps or competitions, must contact the Cyprus Shooting Sport
Federation at least one month before arrival in order to obtain a
special shotgun import permit. |
